Salos Sunesis collaborates with Step Change in Safety 
on new Safety Leadership Course
 
Salos Sunesis has partnered with Step Change in Safety to launch a new two-day Safety Leadership Development Course, designed for Site Managers and Supervisors in high-hazard environments.

As part of the programme, Salos Sunesis delivers the Human and Organisational Performance (HOP) module, which focuses on the five HOP principles:

1. Error is normal – mistakes will happen, even in well-run organisations.
2. Blame fixes nothing – focusing on learning, not fault, drives improvement.
3. Learning is vital – insights from everyday work help prevent incidents.
4. Context drives behaviour – systems and conditions shape people’s actions.
5. Response matters – how leaders react to failure influences future performance.

This course helps delegates apply these principles in practice to strengthen safety leadership and build resilient teams.

The course as a whole develops non-technical leadership skills, enhances coaching and communication, and deepens understanding of human performance so supervisors can foster proactive, high-impact safety cultures. Salos are pleased to deliver the 2 day course with a number of other parties who cover other topics.
