Grant Wallace
Managing Director
Grant Wallace has some 20 years’ experience within the energy sector and has held a variety of senior roles and Directorships. Grant has been with SSL since 2013 and was initially SSL’s Audit Director, where his team focused on assisting clients to ensure that they are operationally ready for HPHT operations. He has held other Directorships within the business prior to being appointed as MD in 2016.
Bruce Christie
Head of Projects
Bruce has over 30 years’ experience in the industry and much of this has been in the continuous improvement space. Bruce worked with KCA Drilling before switching over to project management. He took on a role as Performance Leader at BP Aberdeen before moving to Asia as Drilling the Limit coordinator at Brunei Shell. He has been a consultant in performance roles for Shell, Hess, Pioneer and Mariner and has worked in the Gulf of Mexico, Norway, Trinidad, Indonesia and Malaysia. More recently Bruce held the role of Senior Well Engineer Performance & Planning for Shell in China on Unconventionals and in Australia for deep-water projects. Bruce is responsible for overseeing of our performance improvement operations and project lead for continuous improvement.
Mike McMahon
Technical Advisor
Mike has held various roles and is a senior Oil & Gas leader with significant drilling operational experience with major Oil & Gas operators such as Total, Shell, Repsol and various other independent operators and well management companies.
Specialising in HPHT exploration, deepwater, ERD wells and drillstring failure prevention. Mike has a proven track record of best-in-class operations with a passion for operational safety. In addition to this Mike was responsible for the integration of behavioural safety and human factors with two multi-national operators.
John White
Operations Manager
John has extensive experience in High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT), Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD), front end engineering, rig intake and wellsite operations. Roles have included Shell UK HPHT design team lead, Senior Drilling Supervisor and HPHT Lifecycle Well Engineer.John is a Round 2 qualified Engineer and was the Subject Matter Expert for Well Control for Shell UK. Internationally he has also been involved in ERD, Deepwater, Abandonments, depleted drilling and hard rock drilling projects. John is responsible for overseeing our High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT), Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) & Deepwater projects. Also responsible for our consultancy and wellsite services portfolio.
Christo Hudson
Mental Health Trainer

Now, through Salos, Christo delivers tailored Mental Health training packages that combine practical insights with personal experience, equipping participants with the knowledge and tools to recognise when someone may be experiencing mental distress and offer immediate, compassionate support.

Susie Keely
Administration & Finance Manager
Susie Keely has been involved with Salos since 2015 and is responsible for overseeing the marketing and accounts whilst assisting the operations team in the smooth running of current operations and harvesting new opportunities. Susie has a passion for assisting clients to help them find solutions to their human performance challenges.
