Have you ever watched Race Around the World? Race Around the World is a travel competition where teams race across countries without flying, using only ground or sea transport. With a limited budget, they must plan routes, manage logistics, and take risks to stay ahead.

The Madoch Centre in the Carse of Gowrie took on a similar challenge "Race Around Scotland" and raised over £11,000.  Salos Sunesis were proud sponsors of 1 of the 6 teams – Team “Crolin” (Craig and Colin).
This epic challenge took them from St Madoes to Aberdeen, Culloden, Fort William, the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, Stirling and finally St Andrews all in the space of one weekend!  There were also challenges at each checkpoint and friendly volunteers from different projects to provide refreshments and encouragement.
The money raised will be used by The Madoch Centre Community Transport Project which transports elderly and vulnerable people from the Carse of Gowrie area to medical appointments or brings them to classes and groups such as 'seated exercise' held at the Centre. This service is run by the Madoch Centre in St Madoes with the help of a large team of volunteers and is a lifeline to many.
Over the past year, we’ve proudly supported a range of community events and rising young athletes. Among them is Sonny Kerr, a talented competitor with his sights set on the XXIII Commonwealth Games in 2026—and an even bigger dream of representing his country at the Los Angeles Olympics.
