The main areas of concern are BOP’s and marine riser package, staying on location, well control issues, loss circulation issues and hydrates. In deep water added pressure of the remote site of the location, deepwater and lack of experience of worksite team members can raise stress levels of personnel. Should stress develop and is not relieved then good decision making abilities are restricted. This can lead to more re-action than pro-action decision making process. If a poor choice is taken it can complicate the situation and raised stress levels higher leading to some costly errors.
